This workshop provides local agencies with relevant information to reduce roadway departure crashes on their roadway network. It addresses best practices for identifying locations with historical or potential rural roadway departure issues and introduces countermeasures that address them. It offers information on the procedures and processes to improve safety by reducing the potential for roadway departure crashes. The workshop raises awareness about the tools and resources available through ODOT’s HSIP program, systemic safety analysis and project development.
